The 15th annual Buoy Awards took place on April 16th at the Pictou County Wellness Center. Hosted by Coastal NS, it is an annual acknowledgement of the many incredible events and attractions in this great province we call home. President Gerardine MacLean and Dan Cochrane were in attendance, and were thrilled when the 160th Antigonish Highland Games were named the 2025 Event of the Year!!! It is a true honor and a humbling acknowledgement of the hardwork and dedication of so many incredible volunteers. Thank you so much to Coastal NS for putting together such a wonderful evening of fun and entertainment!

It would be virtually impossible to do this each and every year without the support of hundreds of volunteers who commit thousands of hours to the success of this event. We are so thankful to all of you, as well as our many incredible sponsors, government supporters, and to the incredible place that is Antigonish. We look forward to many more years of providing world-class Scottish Highland Experiences, and we can’t wait to share it with all of you!
