This beginner-friendly, 8 week program is designed to prepare participants to reach a distance of 8km (5 miles) in time for the Highland Games 5 Mile Road Race on Friday, July 11.

This program is based on a run/walk progression, and no past running experience is required. Weekly in person sessions (if you choose) will take place on Thursday evenings at 6:00 at Columbus Field. Each session will consist of a 10 minute check in followed by a 25 – 50 minutes group run/walk session.

Throughout the 8 weeks follow the training plan as closely as possible. If you need to miss a workout, don’t worry. You can fit it in on another day.
