The Antigonish Highland Games Reunion Pipe Band is returning to Antigonish in 2025 to celebrate the 160th anniversary of the Games.
Assembled for the 150th anniversary in 2015, the band is composed of former and current pipers and drummers who come together on the Friday evening of the Games to tune-up, and then march in the grand street parade on Saturday morning.
“It’s a great parade”, says organizer Mike Chisholm, originally from Antigonish and now living in Vancouver. “We all have great memories of this parade from whatever pipe band we played with over the years. The crowd is large and appreciative, and you can’t beat the Antigonish games atmosphere.”
All pipers and drummers are welcome to join.
The pipe band will be led by Pipe Major Frank Beaton and will be composed of local, national and international pipers and drummers. Details on registration and tunes can be found here.
